  3. Review the security information shown and click Continue.

  4. When prompted to back up your wallet, click Back Up Now (or click Skip to do it later, though we strongly recommend backing up now).

  5. Click the 👁️ icon to reveal your 12-word recovery phrase and write it down somewhere safe, this is the only way to recover your wallet if needed. For tips on how to keep it secure, read our guide to managing your recovery phrase.

  6. Click Verify Backup and re-enter your recovery phrase to confirm.

  7. Once confirmed, your wallet is ready to use.

  8. For quick access, click the 🧩 icon in your browser, find Zerion, and click 📌 to pin it.

Once your wallet is backed up, you should be all set to start your crypto journey safely. You can start:

Mobile

  1. After installing the app, launch it to start onboarding.

  2. Tap Create New Wallet.

  3. Set a 6-digit passcode and confirm it. This passcode will be used to unlock the app.

  4. Your wallet will begin generating, while you wait, review the on-screen information. When it's ready, tap Finish.

  5. You’ll now be prompted to back up your recovery phrase, tap Back Up Now (or tap I’ll Take the Risk to skip, though we strongly recommend backing up immediately).

  6. Choose your backup method, we recommend using both for maximum security in case you ever lose access to your wallet:

  • Cloud Backup:

    • Set a password to encrypt your recovery phrase in the cloud. On iOS, your phrase will be encrypted and stored in your iCloud account; on Android, it will be encrypted in your Google account. Learn more about cloud backups.

    • Note that the password you use to encrypt can not be retrieved if you lose it. Don’t forget it, as it can’t be recovered by Zerion, Apple, or Google.

Once your wallet is backed up, you should be all set to start your crypto journey safely. You can start:
