How to connect your Ledger device to Zerion?

In this article, we will guide you through the steps to securely connect your Ledger hardware wallet to Zerion mobile app and extension.

This article is designed to guide you through the process of connecting and using your Ledger device with Zerion.

Before you start

  • Update Ledger Live to the latest version by using this link.

  • Connect your Ledger device to Ledger Live and check that it has the latest firmware version.

  • Make sure the latest version of the Ethereum (ETH) app is installed on your Ledger device.

  • After importing your Ledger address into Zerion, your recovery phrase remains safeguarded by your Ledger device. Zerion does not have access to your private keys and acts purely as a visual interface to easily manage your funds.

  • The Zerion mobile app, available for both iOS and Android, supports only the Ledger Nano X via Bluetooth.

  • All Ledger models are compatible with the Zerion web extension.

  • If you do not have a Ledger Nano X but still want to monitor your portfolio using the Zerion mobile app, you can add your Ledger address as a watch-address.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.

  2. In the homepage of your Zerion mobile app, tap on "+" next to My Wallets.

  3. Pick Add Existing Wallet then Connect wallet.

  4. Select Ledger.

  5. Unlock your Ledger Nano X with your PIN code and open the Ethereum (ETH) app (you should see "Application ready" on your Ledger device's screen).

  6. You can now tap on Connect to Ledger. The Zerion app should detect your Ledger Nano X.

  7. Tap on your Ledger Nano X name and select the Ledger address(es) you wish to add in Zerion. If you do not find your existing address that you created a long time ago, you can switch to the Legacy path.

  8. Tap on Continue.

Tadaa, you have successfully imported your Ledger address(es) into your Zerion mobile app! πŸŽ‰

You can now safely manage your assets with your Ledger device together with the Zerion mobile app.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Click on your wallet public address or domain.

  2. Click on Add Wallet then pick Add Existing Wallet.

  3. Select Connect Ledger.

  4. Make sure your Ledger device is connected to your computer via USB.

  5. Unlock your plugged Ledger device with your PIN code and open the Ethereum (ETH) app (you should see "Application ready" on your Ledger device's screen).

  6. You can now tap on Connect. Your Ledger device should be detected. Select it and establish the connection.

  7. You can now select the Ledger address(es) you wish to add in Zerion. You can switch to the Legacy path if you do not find your existing address that you created a long time ago!

  8. Tap on Continue.
