Buying Crypto on Zerion

Zerion allows you to buy crypto directly with a credit card. Here’s how to do it using the Zerion extension and mobile app.

💡 Can I deposit cash (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, ...)?
No. Zerion is a self-custodial wallet, so there is no fiat balance to deposit into. There are two ways to add funds to your wallet: Buy crypto directly with your credit card (explained in this article), or Receive crypto sent from an exchange or another wallet.

Extension

  1. Choose the wallet you’d like to use for the crypto purchase using the wallet selector.

  2. Click the Card button.

  3. You’ll be redirected to the Zerion Web App.

  4. Select the network for your purchase. If you’ve selected a Solana wallet, only Solana can be chosen.

  5. Pick your preferred provider and follow the instructions.

Mobile App

  1. Tap the Action button at the bottom of the app.

  2. Tap Buy.

  3. Choose the wallet you’d like to use for the crypto purchase using the wallet selector in the top-right corner.

  4. Select the network. If using a Solana wallet, only Solana can be selected.

  5. Pick a provider and complete the instructions to finalize your purchase.

Where do I enter my card details?

You never enter your card number or IBAN inside Zerion. After you select a provider (for example Transak or MoonPay), the provider’s own payment page opens. That’s where you enter your card details and complete the purchase. The available currencies, payment methods, and purchase limits depend on the provider and your country.

Troubleshooting: “No quotes available”

This message means no payment provider is currently offering a quote for the token, amount, network, and region you selected. It usually isn’t an error on your side. Try the following:

  • Change the amount. Very small or very large amounts are often not quoted.

  • Pick a widely supported token (for example USDC or ETH). You can swap it for another token afterwards.

  • Try a different network.

If no quotes appear for any combination, the providers may not support card purchases in your country or local currency. In that case, buy crypto on an exchange that operates in your region and send it to your Zerion wallet. See Receive Crypto with Zerion for the steps.
