Below, weโ€™ll take you through the steps of setting up your DeFi portfolio from scratch:

1. Setting up a Zerion Wallet

Zerion does not have user accounts โ€“ instead we connect to Web3 wallets that link your browser or smartphone directly to the Ethereum network.

Get your Zerion Smart Wallet

  1. Download the Zerion mobile app on iOS or Android

  2. Follow the instructions on screen to either create a new wallet or import an existing one

Once connected, youโ€™ll have one place to manage every wallet, seed phrase and private key you own regardless of where you first created it. Use the wallet to place trades on any network, manage your multichain portfolio and store your NFTs.

In addition to the Zerion Smart Wallet, Zerion supports most major Web3 wallets including hardware wallets, mobile wallets, and browser extension wallets.

2. Buying ETH: Zerion

You can buy ETH directly from Zerion by clicking on 'Buy Crypto' from http://app.zerion.io/ or downloading our mobile apps.

We use a variety of payment providers to give you maximum flexibility based on your preferences. Moonpay, Ramp Network & Mercuryo are our official payment providers.

Supported purchase methods include:

  • Debit/Credit Card (160+ countries)

  • European Bank Account

  • Apple Pay (Available on IOS)

Buying ETH: Crypto Exchange

Alternatively, you can buy ETH at any crypto exchange of your choice, including Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Bitfinex, OkEx, Huobi, and more. Once youโ€™ve deposited ETH, youโ€™ll need to send it to the public address linked to your Web3 account.

Sending ETH to your Web3 Account

You will need to copy the public address of your Web3 account. It should look something like this:

0x88D5f7b72e35b869b0051652c1BEF4c1297f6b5c

โ€‹

From your exchange account, select the option to โ€œSend ETHโ€, input the amount you would like to send, and paste your public address.

We strongly urge that you double-check addresses before sending or receiving crypto, as there is no way to retrieve funds sent to an incorrect address.

Open your Web3 account and you should see the freshly deposited ETH!

3. Linking your Web3 account to Zerion

Go to app.zerion.io or Zerion's mobile apps and select how you would like to connect your wallet.

4. Manage your DeFi portfolio using Zerion

Once you have successfully deposited funds into your account, itโ€™s time to put your crypto to work!

๐ŸŒŸ Buy your first ETH

๐ŸŒŸ Make your first swap

๐ŸŒŸ Accrue interest on deposits

๐ŸŒŸ Participate in liquidity pools

๐ŸŒŸ Stake tokens
